Philosophy Instructor (EXPIRED)

Annual Salary: Salary placement is determined using the CSN Academic Faculty Schedule (maximum 10 years experience). Based on the total years of prior teaching experience, the maximum step placement is step 7 on the Academic Salary Schedule.

Job Description: Area of Specialty: Open; Area of Competence: Open. 

Primary teaching duties will be sections of Critical Thinking and Introduction to Philosophy; sections of other Philosophy and Religious Studies courses will be available as dictated by departmental need. 

Teach a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester and keep five office hours per week. 

Usual committee and service responsibilities (student advising, propram/curriculum development, college/department committees, etc.) 

Teaching assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day, evening, weekend and/or online classes.   Required Qualifications Note: This position is open until filled. M.A. in Philosophy (Applicants with an M.A. in related disciplines will not be considered unless they will possess a Ph.D. in Philosophy by August 2013.) from a regionally accredited college or university.

• Area of Specialty/Area of Competence that complements departmental strengths or addresses departmental needs.
