Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Philosophy Department seeks applicants for its Temporary Pool. Applicants are invited to visit the department’s webpage at https://www.bloomu.edu/philosophy . Bloomsburg offers both the BA and the minor in philosophy. We are a collegial, research-active department located 2.5 hours west of NYC in the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside. The department is currently seeking applications for its Temporary Pool. Applicants from this pool will be eligible for temporary faculty positions: part-time one semester, full-time one semester, and part-time academic year.

Finalist(s) for all positions must communicate well and successfully complete an interview (online/remote).
Recommendation for hiring is needed from a majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, and a Criminal background check.
