Job description |
The Philosophy Department at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall semester 2022. AOS: Medieval Philosophy or Kant and 19th Century Philosophy. AOC: Open. Completion of PhD in Philosophy is required prior to or shortly after the date of hire. The successful candidate will offer a variety of courses in the department. All Colgate faculty are also expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. The standard teaching load is five courses per year. Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, three letters of recommendation, evidence of teaching effectiveness (which may include a teaching statement, sample syllabi, and teaching evaluations if available), research statement, and a writing sample.
