Job description |
The Philosophy Department at the University of North Carolina at Asheville—the public liberal arts university of North Carolina—is seeking a tenure track member at the assistant professor level, beginning July 1, 2015. Areas Of Specialization: one or more of Medieval philosophy broadly construed, epistemology and Islamic Philosophy; Areas Of Competence: one or more of Medieval philosophy broadly construed, epistemology and Islamic Philosophy. Ability to offer courses in Jewish Philosophy would be a plus. Teaching load: 3 courses per semester. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the interdisciplinary Humanities Program and Liberal Arts requirements of the university.
