Job description |
For Fall 2017: Associate Professor (tenured or tenure-track). AOS: ethics/political philosophy, philosophy of science, or philosophy of mind/cognition/language. AOC: open, but candidates interested in teaching feminist philosophy, philosophy of race, or history of philosophy are particularly encouraged to apply. Most existing faculty in the department are engaged in interdisciplinary work, and numerous opportunities exist for interdisciplinary collaborations with members of units across campus, including the School of Public Policy, Women’s Studies, the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science Program, the Brain and Behavior Institute, and the Language Science Center. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and may be assigned some administrative responsibilities. The Department of Philosophy is committed to increasing the diversity of the campus community.
