The Project “History of Women Philosophers and Scientists (HWPS)”, sponsored by the Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Forschung des Landes NordrheinWestfalen, in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, department of Philosophy, announces an opening to be filled as soon as possible for A Research Manager/Postdoc (pay scale/ Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L) http://oeffentlicher-dienst.info/tv-l/west/ The position is full-time (100 %) limited to the duration of the project (3 years), according to the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG) for fixed term contracts within third party funding.The position offers the possibility to engage in academic research. Responsibilities The internationally recognized research project “History of Women Philosophers and Scientists” sponsored by the Ministerium für Innovation, Wissenschaft und Forschung des Landes NRW offers a position whose research is dedicated to the history of women philosophers, preferably of the 18th century, but other focusses are also welcome. Responsibilities are linked to the organization and development of the research center, such as grant writing, organizational and documentation duties as well as maintaining financial records of the institute. Requirements A PhD in philosophy, history of science or closely related subject, as well as experience in coordinating projects are required. The ability to work in a team is necessary for this position. On-site attendance is expected. Working knowledge of German is essential.
