Rhode Island College Assistant Professor, Philosophy Anticipated Vacancy The Philosophy Department at Rhode Island College invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor, Philosophy. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the Philosophy major including Social/Political Philosophy and Philosophy of Law; teach Philosophy courses in the General Education curriculum including First Year Seminars; and supervise Philosophy majors in optional Philosophy internships. Final appointment is subject to available funding. The Ph.D. is required for this appointment and must be completed prior to the beginning of service. Established in 1854, Rhode Island College is the oldest of the three public institutions of higher education in Rhode Island that operates under the aegis of the Rhode Island Board of Education. The 180-acre campus in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence combines easy access to the benefits and resources of the metropolitan area with a suburban atmosphere.
