Visiting Assistant Professor, Philosophy (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy and Religion at Rollins College invites applications for a one-year (sabbatical replacement) visiting assistant professor of philosophy position beginning August 2017. Teaching responsibilities will include a sophomore-level course in the History of Modern Philosophy, an advanced course in philosophy of mind, and additional courses in the candidate's area(s) of specialization. The teaching load is 4/4.  S/he will also be expected to participate in the College's interdisciplinary general education curriculum. 

Qualifications:

-          Ph.D. in philosophy

-          Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, preferably in the liberal arts

-          Ability to help the institution recruit students into our classes and the major
