Job description

The College of Idaho invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Philosophy and Religious Studies, beginning Fall 2017 (one-year sabbatical replacement, no renewal expected). Candidates should hold a Ph.D. (or ABD) in Philosophy or related field. Candidates must be able to teach upper-division courses, Environmental Philosophy, and Philosophy of Religion, and an introductory course titled The Good Life. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop an upper-division topics course in an area of specialization that complements the current catalog. Priority will be given to candidates with demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence central to our liberal arts mission. The expected teaching load is 3-1-3.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States as of the expected hire date and throughout the date of the contract without sponsorship from The College of Idaho.
