Lecturer of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  One year (non-tenure line) lecturer appointment beginning August 2017

QUALIFICATIONS:   Ph.D. in philosophy, outstanding ABD applicants will be considered. Area of competence in Classical Greek and Medieval Philosophy, with an ability to teach ethics and political philosophy. Candidates should have a broad background in the History of Philosophy and be able to teach introductory classes.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: Applicants should be committed to undergraduate teaching.  The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced courses in philosophy to majors and non-majors, including courses that fulfill the core requirement for all students in Literature and Philosophy. Potential applicants should be committed to undergraduate teaching, and have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the liberal arts environment.
