| Job description |
The Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of North Carolina Wilmington seeks to hire a lecturer in philosophy to fill a possibly renewable, nine-month, non-tenure track position for the 2017-2018 academic year. Primary responsibilities for this position will be to teach Bioethics courses in our new, innovative Online Accelerated Program (OAP) for Nursing students. Courses are designed and delivered using the Blackboard platform, utilizing best practices established by the Quality Matters program. Courses are delivered in an asynchronous online environment during accelerated 7.5 week sessions. There are four sessions during the normal academic year (fall and spring semesters) and two 7.5 week sessions during the summer semester. There are also options to teach during the regular semester, some face to face courses. Local residence will be required to facilitate learning. |
