The Department of Philosophy at Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a one-year, Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August 2017. Teaching load is 4/4, with no non-teaching duties. Ph.D. prior to appointment preferred. Loyola University is a highly selective, Jesuit, Catholic institution dedicated to liberal education, whose primary mission is undergraduate education. AOS: Epistemology, with preference for candidates who can teach Logic (including symbolic) and/or Philosophy of Mind. AOC: Open, with some preference for candidates who are able to teach a lower-division general ethics course.
