Visiting Assistant Professor - Temporary (One Year) The Department of Philosophy at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin July 1, 2017. Salary and benefits competitive. Course load is five courses over two semesters, three in the fall. AOS and AOC open, but ability to teach one or more of the three scheduled fall courses preferred (environmental ethics, cosmopolitan and global ethics, philosophy of sex and love). In the spring term, the candidate may have the opportunity to teach one of the two courses in their area of specialization. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred, but A.B.D. considered.
