Visiting Professorship: Philosophy of science, one year Fall 2017/Spring 2018

Requirements: Ph.D. in Philosophy by August 2017, ability to teach courses focusing on philosophy of science and related areas to a diverse student body

Responsibilities: teaching in the M.A. (including M.A. thesis support), B.A., and General Education programs.  Teaching undergraduate courses and graduate seminars in some of the following areas:  Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Risk, Ethics in Science and Technology, Philosophy of Research Ethics, and Philosophical Writing at the upper division and graduate levels.  Department service in course development, providing workshops, comprehensive exam, advising and recruiting, thesis advising, and similar activities.
