Job description

The Department of Philosophy at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for one or two lecturers or assistant teaching professors in Philosophy. These are full-time, non tenure track, positions with a 3-3 teaching load. The AOS and AOC are open; at least one course will likely be in ethics. A Master’s degree in Philosophy or a related field is required to be appointed at the lecturer rank. Candidates with Ph.D. degrees in philosophy will be appointed at the assistant teaching professor rank and may also be assigned to teach upper level undergraduate courses. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled. The start date for these positions is August 11, 2017.
