Job description

Haverford College invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Philosophy at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2018.  AOS: Continental Philosophy, with a strong preference for Phenomenology and/or Philosophy of Art/Architecture; AOC: Open.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. or be on schedule to defend by June 1, 2018.

 The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at all levels of the Philosophy curriculum to a student body of diverse backgrounds and interests.  The candidate also will be expected to supervise senior thesis work in the department and contribute to interdisciplinary programs in the broader College curriculum.
