Job description

INDIANA UNIVERSITY, Bloomington, IN. Two-year Ruth Norman Halls Postdoctoral Fellowship in the History of Philosophy, beginning August, 2018. Preference for Kant and post-Kantian German philosophy, especially Fichte. Strong background in and commitment to research expected. While teaching is not required, the successful candidate may request to teach up to two courses per year; in such cases, the courses that the successful candidate teaches will be determined in part by, and in consultation with, the Indiana University Department of Philosophy. Applicants should have or expect to receive the (terminal) doctoral degree by August, 2018. Applicants should submit a letter of application describing research, c.v., and up to three representative publications. At least three letters of reference should be sent separately. Applicants who anticipate wanting to teach during the term of this Postdoc should also send a teaching statement and evidence of teaching experience.
