Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at the National University of Singapore invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track or tenured appointment. Applicants from all areas of philosophy are encouraged to apply. Review of applications will begin November 15, 2017. Applicants should submit a CV, writing sample, and 3 letters of recommendation.

The department has a history of fruitful interaction between philosophers in a diverse range of traditions. The teaching load is two courses per semester. Since the department's teaching needs range across many different areas, it welcomes applications from all philosophical specialties. In the past, successful applicants have displayed high levels of research productivity. The department offers degree programs at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels. Women and members of other underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply. Teaching duties begin in August 2018. All instruction is in English. Salaries are internationally competitive and housing benefits are offered. Substantial funding for research and conference travel is available.
