Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for the position of full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department beginning August 2018. AOS: Open. AOC: Medical Ethics, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Language, and Symbolic Logic. Assigned workload is 4 courses per semester. Excellent salary and benefits package. The Philosophy Department at Slippery Rock University is a small, collegial group of philosophers with diverse interests who value quality undergraduate teaching.
PhD in philosophy required. Commitment to the education of diverse populations. The Philosophy Department encourages applicants from both the continental and analytic traditions.
Demonstrable success teaching introductory philosophy courses and medical ethics strongly preferred.
