****************************************************** JOB ANNOUNCEMENT INSTITUTION: Institute of Philosophy, University of Neuchâtel LOCATION: Neuchâtel, Switzerland DURATION: 4 years STARTING DATE: 01.10.2018 APPLICATION DEADLINE: 24.08.2018 ****************************************************** JOB DESCRIPTION The Institute of Philosophy of the University of Neuchâtel invites applications for two full-time PhD positions as part of the SNF-research project: THE NATURE AND VALUE OF EFFORTS Successful applicants will write a doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Pr. Olivier Massin, on topics related to the project (available here: https://www.academia.edu/37015529/The_Nature_and_Value_of_Efforts_SNF_Project_2018-2022). Successful applicants are also expected to co-organize workshops and talks related to the project, to attend colloquium talks of the Institute and to organize the project’s weekly seminar. They may be given the opportunity to teach. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE The candidates must have obtained a master’s level degree in philosophy (or equivalent) before taking up the position. Knowledge of French is not required. Salary scale: 47'040 CHF to 50'040 CHF per annum.
