President's Postdoctoral Fellowship
Carnegie Mellon University
|Job category||Postdoc or similar / Fixed term|
|Location||Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States|
|Start date||Fall 2019|
Carnegie Mellon University is offering several postdoctoral research fellowships in all fields represented at the university, coupled with faculty mentoring, professional development and academic networking opportunities. These fellowships are one-year, with the possibility of renewal for a second academic year. Carnegie Mellon views these postdoctoral fellowships as providing an exceptional opportunity to recruit potential new faculty to the university by offering the possibility of a postdoc with the prospect of a succeeding faculty position.
The university seeks applicants whose research or creative practice, teaching, and service will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education. The program is particularly interested in scholars with the potential to bring to their research and undergraduate teaching the critical perspective that comes from their non-traditional educational background or understanding of the experiences of groups historically underrepresented in higher education. More information about the program can be found at: http://www.cmu.edu/faculty-office/ppfp/index.html
Applicants must provide a letter and mentoring plan from a CMU faculty member; interested individuals are urged to contact appropriate faculty in the department sufficiently far in advance of the application deadline.
