Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at the National University of Singapore invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track or tenured appointment. Philosophers of all research specializations are encouraged to apply. Review of applications will begin November 5, 2018.

Each applicant should submit a CV and a writing sample. Applicants for an Assistant Professorship should submit three letters of recommendation, while senior applicants may submit a list of references. Additional letters of recommendation, a research statement, a teaching statement, and a cover letter are optional.

The department has a history of fruitful interaction between philosophers from a diverse range of traditions, and invites candidates from all areas of philosophy to apply. Candidates are encouraged to note any teaching and supervision ability in normative ethics, Asian philosophy, continental philosophy, or cognitive science. The department offers undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees. The teaching load is 2:1 (one or two courses per semester, totalling three per academic year). Teaching duties begin in August 2019. All instruction is in English. Salaries are internationally competitive and housing benefits are offered.
