Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (EXPIRED)

Position Summary: The selected applicant will join the faculty who carry a long and proud tradition of highly acclaimed teaching and research in core areas of philosophy. We are seeking candidates with a commitment to excellence in scholarly research, teaching, and professional service. The selected individual will have Metaphysics or Ethics, broadly construed (not Metaethics) as their area of specialization.

Duties: The selected candidate will teach four classes per academic year at the undergraduate and graduate level; hold office hours; grade exams; conduct scholarly research; perform university and professional service, as appropriate.

Assistant professor candidates must show evidence of outstanding teaching and research potential and must be willing to teach upper and lower-level courses on a regular basis.

Associate and full professors candidates must, in addition to the above, have a distinguished record of philosophical research.
