This is an E 13 TV-L position, which should roughly amount to a minimum salary of ca. 39.800 € p.a. (possibly more, depending on experience). Job description: scientific service in research and teaching in “Ancient and Contemporary Philosophy”; own significant original research project(s); weekly teaching obligation, which will typically involve two courses per semester, with each of them meeting once a week for 90 minutes, as well as serving as an advisor for bachelor’s and master’s theses; cooperation with the other members of the Institute with regard to some administrative tasks will also be expected
Requirements: Completed academic education and PhD in any area of ancient
Philosophy; though candidates with research interests in late antiquity are particularly
encouraged to apply; excellent English (written and spoken), as well as Latin and Greek, fluency in German desirable but not necessary
