Applications are invited for a research and teaching postdoctoral fellowship to be held under the auspices of the Department of Philosophy at McMaster University during the 2019-20 academic year. We welcome applications from candidates with research and teaching interests in the areas of philosophy of law, ethics, and political philosophy. Job-Title: Post-Doctoral Fellowship Posting Date: March 25, 2019 Application Deadline: March 25, 2019 to April 25, 2019 Position Start Date: 1 July 2019 Position End Date: 30 June 2020 Pending funding and at the discretion of the department, this position is renewable, but not beyond a second year. Supervisor: Dr. Stefan Sciaraffa Renumeration: $50,000 per year plus $5,000 for Research or Publication Expenses This position is included within the Canadian Union of Public Employees (“CUPE”) Local 3906 Unit 3, representing Post-Doctoral Fellows. Description of Role: The fellow will be expected to present a paper as part of the department’s weekly speaker series and to contribute to the intellectual life of our community of faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates. The fellow will teach two courses per academic year. To be eligible to apply, the applicant must have neither held a tenure-track position nor been awarded a PhD in philosophy prior to January 1, 2014. |
