Job description

Roles/ responsibilities:

  • Conduct training workshops in argument mapping for faculty of K-12 schools and universities, including coordinating logistics and marketing as needed. These will take place at Harvard, on-site at schools, and digitally (e.g., webinars).

  • Visit classrooms to observe teachers and students, provide instructional coaching, and develop relationships with multiple points of contact at pilot schools to increase uptake and implementation. This will include facilitating sales of our digital offerings to schools and districts. 

  • Conduct educational research to assess the effect of our curriculum on student achievement. 

  • Present and exhibit at events and conferences, including applying/registering and following up with attendees to schedule additional training workshops and/or implementation of our digital offerings. (Note, this will require some travel.) 

  • Routinely gather feedback from teachers and administrators about our curriculum and materials; take action accordingly to improve our offerings. 

  • Assist the Lead Instructor in the development of new digital curriculum modules and interactive learning experiences, such as content specific to ELA, History, Science, SAT/ACT, Debate, Bioethics, etc. 

  • Communicate clearly, concisely and effectively with TA team members about all projects, including use of our task management software and attendance at regular team meetings (2-3 / week).

Qualifications: 

  • Philosophy education (BA, MA, and/or PhD)

  • Teaching experience (K-12 and/or Higher Ed) 

  • Conscientious: highly attentive to details and logistics

  • Relentlessly reliable: takes initiative and operates effectively with limited supervision

  • High EQ, especially strong listening skills to understand the pressures and pain points facing educators and students 

  • Passionate about TA’s mission and vision

  • Extremely enthusiastic about argument mapping
