The Department of Philosophy at Georgia State University (GSU) in Atlanta, GA, seeks applications for a position as tenure-track assistant professor. Start date: Fall 2020. The Department of Philosophy at GSU is home to a thriving, internationally recognized master’s program. GSU is a research university of the University System of Georgia that is committed to serving a diverse student body, and the Department is committed to building a diverse faculty.
The successful candidate will join GSU’s active faculty group in philosophy of mind and will contribute to the Department’s research, teaching, and service in accordance with the position. Teaching load is 2/2, along with MA thesis supervision. Upon being hired, the successful candidate can also apply to be an associate faculty member of GSU’s interdisciplinary Neuroscience Institute.
Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in philosophy or related field at time of appointment.
