The School of Arts and Humanities at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applicants for a tenure-track Wald Assistant or Associate Professor of Holocaust and Human Rights professor. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in both areas, and who could teach courses on survivors of the Holocaust in Latin America, comparative human rights, and/or on the history, representations and remembrance of the Holocaust. We are also seeking candidates who can engage with the interdisciplinary programs of the School of the Arts and Humanities, including Literature, History and Philosophy, and Visual and Performing Arts. The candidate will join the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies that offers a unique multidisciplinary learning environment, a graduate certificate in Holocaust studies, an annual conference on the Holocaust, and numerous academic lectures and public events. UT Dallas is a dynamic, growing research institution with a diverse student body and a strong research faculty. Candidates must have completed a PhD in a field relevant to the Holocaust and Human Rights Studies by the time of the appointment and must be qualified to teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should provide evidence of successful teaching experience and a potential for a high quality research program.
