  • Full time continuing position
  • Based at the Bundoora campus
  • $95,432-$112,697 plus up to 17% superannuation

About the role

Located at La Trobe University Bundoora (Melbourne) campus, this position will be responsible for developing and delivering quality education and making contributions to the teaching and research  objectives across our Philosophy program.  You will deliver high quality learning experiences in two or more of the following areas: ethics, philosophy of science, political philosophy, introductory philosophy, or critical thinking and play an important role in developing teaching and scholarly engagement with flexible delivery and on-line learning approaches.  In conjunction, you will conduct, publish and disseminate high quality and high impact scholarly research.

 

Skills & Experience

  • PhD in Philosophy or a cognate field.
  • Demonstrated capacity to teach across a range of areas within the discipline.
  • Evidence of high quality and/or high impact research, relative to opportunity.
  • Evidence of the ability to work as a member of a team in a cooperative and collegial manner.
  • Capacity to successfully supervise honours and postgraduate students.
