Job description

The Department of Philosophy is accepting applications for two McDonnell Postdoctoral Fellowships for the 2020-2021 academic year in the Department’s program in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP).

Housed within the Department of Philosophy, the PNP program promotes formal and informal interaction with Washington University philosophers, psychologists, and neuroscientists. The program includes both graduate and undergraduate degree offerings, a wide range of courses and seminars, and regular colloquia and research group meetings.

Each PNP postdoctoral fellow would be expected to teach two courses per year in the Department of Philosophy, present public lectures, carry out independent research, and coordinate PNP functions. There is a strong probability that, with successful performance, fellowships would be renewed for a second year, 2021-2022.

More information on the PNP program is available at https://pnp.wustl.edu/

To ensure full consideration, interested candidates should have a PhD and send curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, a succinct writing sample, and a brief statement of teaching and research interests by February 1, 2020. Application is through Interfolio:

Inquiries about submitting application materials should be sent to Department Administrator Rachel Dunaway ([email protected]).

Each year Washington University publishes a Safety and Security brochure that details what to do and whom to contact in an emergency. This report also publishes the federally required annual security and fire safety reports, containing campus crime and fire statistics as well as key university policies and procedures. You may access the Safety and Security brochure at https://police.wustl.edu/clery-reports-logs/
