Visiting Assistant Professor in Philosophy (two year position) (EXPIRED)

We are seeking someone to teach standard introductory-level courses as well as upper-division courses on topics that will interest a broad range of students, particularly students majoring in art or art history and theory. The successful candidate will teach a course in the philosophy of arts.

Requirements:

• The person hired will be a member of the Division of Human Studies, which includes history, philosophy, and religious studies, at Alfred University.
• Ph.D. preferred, but ABDs will be considered.
• Teaching load: 3 courses per semester, 4 hours per course.
• Some teaching experience required.
