Job description

Sam Houston State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Huntsville, TX. Announcing a tenure-track position starting in the Fall 2020 semester for an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Program within the Department of Psychology and Philosophy. 

The AOS is philosophy of race. The AOC is philosophy of science. On-line teaching experience and proficiency in feminist philosophy are highly valued. The regular teaching load for tenure-track faculty is three undergraduate courses per semester. It will include, among other things, some combination of Core Curriculum courses, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Race, or Feminist Philosophy. ABD candidates are encouraged to apply; though, the successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in philosophy prior to the appointment in Fall 2020.  Summer teaching may be possible depending on demand.
