Position Description Assistant College Lecturer Department Philosophy & Comparative Relig Posting Category Faculty Salary Plan College Lecturer COL Job Summary The Department of Philosophy and Comparative Religion at Cleveland State University invites applications for an Assistant College Lecturer position. AOS: Bioethics; AOC: Open. Duties will consist of teaching 12 credit hours/4 courses per semester. Minimum Qualifications Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Philosophy in hand by July 1, 2020; Evidence of teaching experience; AOS as specified above. Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching bioethics courses and evidence of teaching achievement. While various bioethics courses are the primary teaching responsibility for this position, preference will be given to candidates who also have an ability to cover courses in at least one of the following areas: philosophy of mind, continental philosophy, symbolic logic, philosophy of science, environmental ethics, and/or philosophy of language.
