Job description

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of Philosophy courses.
  • Serve on various departmental committees as needed.
  • Advise and mentor students.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Philosophy to be completed by August 2020;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach a variety of Philosophy courses;
  • Successfully complete the university’s required background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willingness to contribute to the life of the department;
  • Interested in publically oriented philosophy;
  • Ability to teach courses, such as Introduction to Philosophy, Social Ethics, Ethics, Ancient Philosophy, and other courses that will complement the department.
