£51,034 - £59,135 (Associate Professor) or £60,905 - £62,727 (Reader) or a Competitive Salary (Professor)

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Warwick is inviting applications for a post in moral, political, and/or legal philosophy. Applications will be considered for Associate Professor, Reader, or full Professor, with any appointment dependent on career stage and experience. We particularly welcome applications from members of social groups currently underrepresented in philosophy.

We are seeking to appoint a philosopher with an international profile, commensurate with career stage, in moral, political, and/or legal philosophy. The successful candidate will be a world-class researcher and an outstanding teacher and will be expected, commensurate with career stage, to play a leadership role in the Department and the University.

You will join an ambitious department that is well-regarded internationally. In the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014), we were ranked 1st in the UK for the quality of our research and 4th overall. You will also have the opportunity to join our interdisciplinary Centre for Ethics, Law, and Public Affairs, which hosts weekly research seminars as well other events. The Department is committed to a research-led approach to teaching and to providing our staff with an environment that supports developing their research and their teaching to the highest level.
