Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Humanities (EXPIRED)

The Philosophy Department at Reed College invites applications for a one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Humanities beginning August 7, 2020. In addition to teaching one course in philosophy each semester, the appointee will teach one year-long section in Reed’s writing-intensive Humanities course (reed.edu/humanities/hum110/).  Teaching duties may include advising year-long senior theses. We expect the Ph.D. to be in hand, or very near completion, by the start of the appointment.  Reed College is a small, distinguished undergraduate institution committed to excellence in teaching and scholarship with a strong liberal arts curriculum.
