The University of Alabama at Birmingham is searching for a non-tenure track, visiting assistant professor of philosophy for up to two years, beginning August 2020. Successful applicants should have demonstrated excellence in teaching beginning courses in philosophy, including areas of applied ethics. The teaching load is eight courses a year over two semesters. Summer teaching is unlikely. We encourage applications from members of historically disadvantaged groups. A completed PhD in philosophy is required. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.
