Stipendiary Lecturership in Philosophy Fixed-term contract Salary: within a range £20,633 to £23,207 per annum (plus other benefits) Exeter College proposes, if there is a suitable candidate, to appoint a Stipendiary Lecturer in Philosophy. This is a fixed-term role, tenable from 1 October 2020 until 30 September 2021, and the postholder will teach Philosophy to undergraduates. The Lecturer will be required to undertake 144 ‘contact’ hours of tutorial or class teaching of undergraduates of the College (or, by exchange, undergraduates of other Colleges) during the period of the appointment. In addition, they will be required to set and mark College examinations, to participate fully in the undergraduate admissions process, and to participate fully in the running of Philosophy within the College. The ability to teach further papers may be an advantage. The Lecturer will be appointed to a point on the Senior Tutors’ Committee’s Register of Approved Payments for Stipendiary Lecturers (currently £20,633 - £23,207 for the period of the appointment).
