The Johns Hopkins Department of Philosophy seeks two or more philosophers of outstanding international reputation (if senior) or outstanding promise (if junior) to fill positions at the rank of tenured Professor, tenured Associate Professor, or (beginning or advanced) tenure-track Assistant Professor. Applications are welcomed and encouraged in all areas of specialization. William H. Miller’s transformative $75 million pledge to the Philosophy Department reflects his lifelong appreciation of the discipline, and his gift seeks to establish the Johns Hopkins Philosophy Department as one of the world’s leading departments. These additions will continue a major expansion of the Department, resulting in at least nine new positions during the next several years.
