Position: Senior Lecturer in Philosophy

Applications are invited for a renewable Senior Lecturer position in Philosophy to begin August 25, 2021.  AOS: open, excluding Political Theory and Ethics.  AOC: ability to teach broadly in a variety of fields of Philosophy, such as Epistemology, Logic, Philosophy of Science required.  Background and interest in teaching Feminist, Non-Western, Indigenous and/or Global Philosophies highly desirable.  The philosophy program at UWS currently includes one full-time faculty in an interdisciplinary department.  Teaching load is five courses (15 credits) per semester (with possibility of reassignment of a portion of the semester-credits for engagement in service to the minor and department) using a combination of face-to-face and online modalities.  Required qualifications include university teaching experience, and M.A. or Ph.D. in Philosophy or related field earned by August 25, 2021.  Deadline for applications is 1 February, 2021.
