The Environmental Science & Studies Programs at Lafayette College invite applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Environmental Humanities beginning July 1, 2021. We seek a colleague with a background in environmental humanities or humanist social sciences with teaching and research interests in environmental justice, literature, ethics, or a related field. The successful applicant will teach a 3-3 load including an introductory course in the interdisciplinary Environmental Studies major, one intermediate-level course in Environmental Justice, a second intermediate level-course (e.g., in Environmental Literature, Indigenous Studies, Global Ecologies), and one advanced course in his or her area of expertise. Lafayette College is a highly selective private undergraduate college in Easton, PA with academic programs and opportunities characteristic of larger institutions. The College is located approximately 65 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia.
