We invite applications for faculty positions in any area of analytic philsophy at Azim Premji University in Bangalore.

Azim Premji University was established in 2010 by the Azim Premji Foundation. The Foundation works extensively with the public school systems in many states in India, with a clear purpose - to contribute to a just, equitable, humane and sustainable society. The University supports education and related fields of human development through its programmes of study that prepare professionals with integrity, competence and social commitment. Our research programmes contribute to knowledge relevant to these fields. The University is also committed to ensuring diversity across all programmes.

Our undergraduate programme in Philosophy starts in August 2021. It is centred around using rigorous philosophical reasoning to prepare students with capabilities they can apply in public service, among other contexts. The programme is residential and the faculty are expected to contribute to teaching and mentoring students and help build a vibrant community of learning.

We seek candidates with a strong commitment to teaching and research and a willingness to contribute to public service in India. Candidates with a PhD in any area of analytic Philosophy are encouraged to apply, we are also interested in candidates with a PhD near completion, or in related fields.
