Job Description Summary
The Philosophy Department at Bentley University (Waltham, MA) invites applications for a full-time lecturer position. Start date: Fall 2021. The position is a continuing non-tenure-track appointment, renewable yearly, contingent upon satisfactory performance and instructional need. The standard course load for a lecturer is eight courses per year. AOS: Open. AOC: Applied Ethics.

The department is looking for an instructor to help staff its courses in applied ethics and other areas of philosophy. We are hoping to hear from dedicated and innovative educators who are committed to excellence in teaching. We have particular instructional needs in environmental, business, and data ethics but would welcome a scholar with a broad teaching portfolio of a practical or theoretical nature. Bentley University's mission is to prepare tomorrow's leaders by providing them with an education that is grounded in the study of both business and the arts and sciences. Of particular interest is a philosopher whose profile relates to this mission and who will contribute to the collegial and collaborative atmosphere of our department and campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completed PhD required by the start date

Must be familiar with Blackboard and Zoom or have a willingness to learn. Bentley University makes training available for both platforms.
