The Department of Philosophy at Albion College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2021-22 academic year, to begin in August 2021. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equality and diversity. This position requires a Ph.D. in Philosophy prior to appointment and a demonstrated excellence in teaching. This position is a sabbatical replacement. Interested candidates should have a specialization in at least two of the following areas: modern philosophy, social & political philosophy, philosophy of race, or aesthetics. The course load is three courses per semester, and the candidate will be expected to teach Social Philosophy and two sections of Introduction to Philosophy during the fall semester.
