Job description |
Teaching responsibilities include both graduate and undergraduate courses; normally 6 classes per academic year. Summer and winter teaching may be undertaken for additional pay. The successful candidate will teach core courses in PP&E as well as Business Ethics and other areas of ethics. The successful candidate will also assume some advising, leadership, and program-building roles in PP&E. The PP&E program has existing strengths in Austrian Economics and Public Choice. Candidates should therefore have teaching competence in various other points of philosophical engagement with economic theory and methods - for example, Law & Economics, the Capabilities Approach, economic aspects of environmental, gender, labor, and race issues, and so on. Further, candidates should be prepared to meet the department's commitment to integrate the contributions of nonwhite and non-male philosophers, and non-Eurocentric philosophical traditions, into every course. All requirements for the Ph.D. in philosophy must be completed by June 30, 2021. |
