Job description

The Department of Philosophy at Dartmouth College seeks to appoint a non-tenure-track Lecturer for the academic year 2021-2022. AOS: Open. AOC: Open. Teaching load: 4 courses (spread over 3 consecutive quarters, on the quarter system). Preference for candidates able to teach philosophy of race, and/or some period of the history of philosophy (up through the 20th century).

Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. (or be ABD with degree in hand by September 2021). Application Materials: 1) Cover letter, including a list of the courses you are prepared to teach, and overview of your research areas. Please also describe how your teaching, research, service, and/or life experiences prepare you to advance Dartmouth’s commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion; 2) CV; 3) Three confidential letters of reference; 4) Dissertation abstract or research statement (maximum two pages single spaced); 5) Evidence of teaching effectiveness (including recent evaluations and/or a letter speaking to teaching).
