| Job description |
The NYU Center for Bioethics is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor faculty position. This is a 2-year term full-time faculty position, pending budgetary approval. Candidates are expected to have: (1) a doctoral degree (e.g., PhD) in an area related to ethics, social, or political philosophy, and (2) teaching experience in bioethics. The Program in Bioethics combines the study of medical, environmental, and public health ethics, as well as the ethics of technology, and strives to engage the community, inform innovative research, and generate practical responses to complex issues in the life sciences and public health. The program offers a Master of Arts degree in Bioethics and has an active Bioethics minor at the undergraduate level. The Program is interested in recruiting an outstanding faculty member who can strengthen and contribute to our course offerings. We are strongly committed to promoting diversity and supporting students, staff and faculty from underrepresented backgrounds. This position is contingent upon budgetary approval. |
