| Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at Tel-Aviv University, Israel, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Philosophy. The required area of specialization is: Ethics and/or Political Philosophy in a Continental/Historical Orientation with preference to philosophical research in current/contemporary issues such as feminism, environmental crisis, racism, post-colonialism, crisis of democracy. AOC in the history of modern philosophy is an advantage. The candidate should have a proven record of excellence in research, in academic publications and experience in teaching. The position also requires application for competitive research grants, commitment to the academic community, active participation in the department’s overall teaching and administrative work, openness to students, and sensitivity to diversity. Teaching in Hebrew and English, and conducting independent research in the relevant fields are required. The successful candidates must hold a Ph.D. from the beginning of employment. Salary and employment conditions will conform to Tel Aviv University regulations. The appointment procedure will be carried out according to the rules and regulations of Tel Aviv University and are subject to the approval of the University’s authorities. The position will become effective starting from the spring semester of 2022 or from October 2022, and the academic rank will be determined towards the beginning of employment. |
