Job description

The WILLIAMS COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF Philosophy invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Philosophy of Language, beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2024. AOC: Open, but we are especially interested in candidates who can teach linguistics and/or an area of non-western philosophy. The teaching load each semester will consist of an introductory course and an upper-level elective. We provide mentoring in teaching and research for visiting faculty as well as support for conducting research. We are particularly interested in attracting and welcoming candidates from under-represented groups as well as individuals who have experience working with diverse undergraduate student populations.

Qualifications

Preliminary interviews with the search committee will be held via video conference in early January. Applicants may then be invited for a campus visit in late January.
