Job description

The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Business Ethics beginning in Fall 2022. This position will be required to teach Business Ethics to an MBA and/or Executive Level audience, and ideally should have research that is related to individual or organizational ethics. 

The Darden School values rigorous and original research, student-centered learning experiences, excellence in curriculum development, and advancing thought leadership in business practice or public policy. 

Applicants for an assistant professor position are expected to have a doctorate in Management, Organizational Behavior, Sociology, Strategy, Social Psychology, Philosophy, or a related field by the start of the 2022-23 academic year. In addition, competitive candidates will demonstrate evidence of excellence in research, including potential for top-tier publications and a growing pipeline and evidence of potential success as a teacher.  

Applicants for more senior appointments must demonstrate strong evidence of scholarly and managerial impact and a record of success as a teacher. In addition, all applicants are expected to foster an inclusive research and teaching-related environment that focuses on the development and engagement of practicing managers. This ability is essential to the Darden School's mission.
